I disliked Orton so much I talked my dad into using the coupon he had for a free custom jersey to get one with "NECKBEARD" as the name AFTER Orton had been traded so we could always remember that great, great day.

awesome. i'm glad somebody else was with me on this.

The Niners are [expletive] scary. I have no idea how you stop Kaepernick.

Yeah, a clothesline 3 yards out of bounds doesn't even stop him.

Hopefully part of what we saw was a terrible GB defense. Helps our chances if they can't stop anybody this year, and I'd like to think Kaepernick is eventually going to be at least brought down to earth a little bit.

They're scary though, no doubt.

Jay Cutler was 8-of-10 for 94 yards and a touchdown against at least five rushers Sunday against the Bengals. Cutler ranked 33rd with a 23.5 Total QBR last year against added pressure.

But according to Jamie Dukes this is the exact same team as it was under Lovie Smith, only with added talent on offense.

Yeah, heard a bit of that. Spiegel getting the soundbye to talk about, cuz a lot of listeners are riled up about that.

I thought it wasn't too long ago where there were numbers showing Cutler did very well against blitzes. Maybe it was more sell-out blitzes rather than just 5 guys.

Dukes was pissed that Lovie was fired and was race baiting. He couldn't get over that enough to be impartial about the many changes we've already seen.

Lawrence Holmes and Dukes are having a twitter fight now. Dukes passive/aggressively calling Holmes a homer.

On Chicago’s third play from scrimmage, Long missed a blocking assignment on a blitz, which allowed Carlos Dunlap to slam through the offensive line to pressure quarterback Jay Cutler. Immediately after the play ended, Long heard an earful from center Roberto Garza.

“Obviously, that came up in film,” Long said Tuesday during the “Carmen & Jurko Show” on ESPN 1000. “We just tried to work through that, which is why Garza was instructing me after the play. He’s very good about that. It’s like when you’re training a puppy, when the dog pees on the ground, you want to make sure you get on him right now and let him know that’s it’s wrong. You say, ‘This is where you pee. This is where you don’t pee.’ That’s kind of what Garza was doing, training extremely large puppies the last few weeks.”

I'd like to think that Jay is off-camera during the prayer shot, just smoking and sneering at such nonsense.

I think that's actually him sort of left toward the middle (by the white block wall) with marshall next to him and, i think, kromer behind him.

Not obsessed with power rankings as much as I am the rationale. Doesn't rank the Bears 4th because their OL is a question mark, but the OL didn't allow a sack. Seems like going off of last year on that but just week 1 on others.

Fwiw, Bears are probably a little high.

So, there was a lot of talk about how hard the Bears schedule looked before the season. After one week, it sure looks a lot easier.
