These last two starts for Hendricks (if he gets two more) would impact for me where he goes on prospects lists. I'd expect his peripherals to get quite a bit worse going to the heavily offensive PCL. If he can keep his peripherals roughly the same over 40 innings or so in the PCL (especially his home run rate) then that would really start having me question if he has an elite deception/command tool that separates him from other soft tossers.

A person who I'd compare to him, Randy Wells, was not able to do that. He had a very similar season at AA at age 23 over a smaller sample, but was not able to hold those peripherals when he got to Iowa. It took until right when he was in his prime that he found those numbers again even in a tiny sample and had his good couple of major league years before the injuries took over.

vogelbach has 9 walks in his last 4 games. olt has 7 walks in his last 3.

hendricks started off bad, with 4 straight singles allowed (2 were infield hits though), but finished really well. pitched 8 innings and only allowed 2 hits and a walk after the rough start. 2 earned runs total, both in the first inning. lots of ground ball outs.

How much do you love gifs?

Seriously

As much as Ross loved Rachel.

I may not be a math genius, but that sounds like more than twice a month

Daytona clinched a playoff spot, joining Tennessee, the DSL Cubs and VSL Cubs as playoff teams from the system this year.

juan paniagua [expletive] sucks.

His debut has sucked, no doubt. That said, Rivero struggled at first in Peoria this year as well and he had been in the states all offseason as well. Paniagua was rushed because of his visa problems and is scuffling for sure. With a normal offseason with DJ likely spending some time with him, I suspect he'll be just fine next year. The stuff is there(unlike Concepcion before someone brings him up) and 20 innings isn't nearly enough time to get an honest read on him. Sure,I'm disappointed, I'll drop him somewhat in my top 30, but he's still squarely one of our best pitching prospects. That won't change for me unless he bombs out next year.
