Bryant is 2-2 with a double and HBP already. Even with all of the IBB's in college, I thought he'd put up some great walk numbers early on, but I also wasn't expecting him to rack up this many hits. We know that patience is in there, so seeing this side of him is pretty exciting.

Led off the 3rd with a single. Capped the 7-run inning with a 2-run double.

From the same game, Pineyro has 4 Ks, 1 H, 1 R, and 1 BB in 4 IP.

Vogelbach is 1-2 with another walk and a K, giving him 8 BB/9 K since moving to Daytona.

Zeke DeVoss continues to get on base at a crazy clip wile being unable to hit anything.

Bryant is striking out a lot, though it's hard to complain about the full picture. Gotta think he starts 2014 in AA. Couple months into next year we're gonna have a real good idea about what we have with both him and Baez.

Nice line for Vogelbach at Daytona so far:

.286/.432/.486 with 9 K's and 9 BB's.

Rock steady

maples struggled with his control again. 4 walks and a hit batter in 5 innings.

Maples fastball was at 91-92. He didn't look that bad. What got him into trouble is that his defense let him down. He then panicked and tried to throw that perfect pitch.

While defending Maples, I should point out that one of his wild pitches was at least four feet above the batters head and 6 feet outside. A curve ball that that went on a fly to the backstop. I couldn't help but think of "Wild Thing".

Not a good game by Boise.

What's his injury? Also, do you know why he was in the bullpen?

I don't know what his injury is but he was in the bullpen to keep his innings low after his college season in the spring. He was piggybacking with Tyler Skulina, who was also on a short leash due to his college season.

Thanks - makes sense. Hopefully its not an arm injury.

According to Brett at BN it was just an innings limit and there is no "injury". Just got DLed for roster space I would assume.

Thanks! That seems likely to be true since there are no real reports of anything.
