Vizcaino either has one left or they can petition for one. But he'll likely be in AAA. Cabrera is ouy of options though, so if he's not dealt, he'll be in the majors. So, as for Kyle's list, just swap those two out. At this point, I don't think we can count on Lim. Wouldn't mind having 3 lefties though, but if Rosscup looks good, I think Russell could still get dealt. Kyle, gotta ask though: What do you have against Parker? I'm definitely counting on him, if I'm looking at our pen.

Honestly? I always just forget about him. He can be in the mix, too.

Cabrera's problem is that I'm still not convinced he's any good.

I'm not convinced on Cabrera either, but he's certainly got the stuff, at least. For some reason I thought you had something against Parker. At any rate, its pretty telling how far the pen options have come, that we can make out an entire pen without adding FA and feel fairly decent about it. Still think we'll bring Guerrier back and one other vet, who's pretty solid, when all is said and done.

Hahahaha. When I saw that he was batting third in the ninth of a tie game, I was going to be stunned if they pitched to him regardless of the base/out situation.

He got it on a 3-1 count, too.

That's some Beltre [expletive] there.

Love it.

He's gonna have to walk twice a month, though.

This is why I'm expecting him to shoot up the rankings when the prospect guys stop repeating their pre-season opinions and catch up on all the scouting reports and stats in the offseason.

If he has like three or four walks in a row, he'd be at 10%.

I'm going to set the over/under on 2014 MLB javybombs at 20, and I really want to take the over.

I think he'll be up before mid-August myself.

The way the camera jerks there at the end makes think he hit that one real far

He did. Over the party deck.

Every time I try and temper myself and say "well he's just riding a hot streak right now and things will trend down at some point" (and they will) it's very exciting that he's hitting the [expletive] out of the ball AND improving patience/pitch selection and apparently defense.

A 2015 opening day lineup of Ellsbury, Castro, Rizzo, Baez, Bryant, Soler, Alcantara, Castillo (or whoever, who cares) sounds pretty good to me.
