Well, it sure is going to be fun to see Baez/Soler/Bryant in a lineup next year. Heck, maybe he signs and plays with them this year.

The Dozier pick is the big head scratcher so far, I guess.

Love the JP Crawford pick for the Phillies.

Unless it's an incredibly quick sign I doubt all 3 are in Daytona together. After Bryant signs he will go to Arizona for a bit then one of, if not both, Boise/KC I'd think and by the time he'd get sent to Daytona Soler will be in Tennessee.

I'm kind of wondering where Bryant winds up. Raisin broke it down pretty well, but I gotta think its likely he sees Daytona this year, if he signs relatively early.

That's what I'm thinking as well. If he's kept at 3rd, he slots in perfectly at Daytona, since they don't really have anyone there anyways (granted, it's not like anyone's going to block Bryant). Developmentally, I don't see a real point of sending him to mash in Boise. Kane County, I could understand that, I guess. But a college bat should really be ready for A+, so if he signs early, and he's done playing, it fits relative to the system.

I hope he signs quickly. I hate it when position prospects waste several months of development time. Is Boras his agent?

man, when was the last time we had this many interesting bats in the system? even the times our system didnt blow, it was mostly centered around pitching that ended up blowing

WHERE HE FITS: As talented as Bryant is, he’s entering a crowded Cubs’ system and will likely slot behind Javier Baez, Albert Almora and potentially Jorge Soler.

You've got it backwards, BA.

I'm mildly surprised that they seem to imply they would put Almora ahead of Bryant fairly safely (since they didn't say potentially with Almora ... could be reading too much into quick reaction typing). I'd put Soler/Baez ahead of Bryant. Almora seemed a bit more debatable.

It's just odd how there are a ton of other former stars there, but they're asking only the black kids what the black stars told them.
