It's like getting mad at an article praising Greg Maddux talking about all his Cy Youngs and his 300 wins. Of course they're goign to mention that. It's a major accomplishment either way. As long as it isn't the foundation of the argument, it isn't a problem.

 

I think I get more annoyed at the faux-outrage over wins, bunts and BA than I do with people who still use them as the most important factor.

It's just cool to see Castro get national praise since the bulk of the attention he's gotten over the years has been a stupid narrative that he's some kind of lazy, easily distracted, team-killing menace who has to be traded. I don't care if the crux of the article was that they like that he can fly like a hawk and has the power to warm hobo soup with his heat vision; it's just awesome for him to get the attention he actually deserves.

This dude makes me angry every time i see him at the plate. He is throwing his body at the ball, why hasn't Manny Ramirez or Malee talked to him about his approach. And why is Joe batting him 4th? yeah if you have obp machines ahead of you ofc you will get RBI's on singles.

Lastly, ppl can say his defense looks better than the past, i can see a bad throw on a tuff grab or ball tipping off the mitt on plays that he needs to have range to get to, but the routine stuff is just ugly.

 

playing at a -0.1 War right now and i hope he can turn it around. i think joe needs to do something to get him back on track. batting 4th isnt the answer.

I looked at the stats, and have watched every game this year and he is the most disappointing guy to me.

 

Nobody is happy with his offensive production right not; needlessly bumping him to a new fulltime defensive position doesn't seem like the smartest way to try and kick start his production. Despite your histrionics over last night's loss, he's not some kind of defensive liability that needs to be moved.

Russell has 5 fielding errors in 25 games, and they sure all weren't pop-ups he was camped under like last night. In fact, Inside Edge says they've both handled 94% of the 'Routine' chances they've gotten this year.
