After two homers today, Bryce Harper is at .371/.426/.758.

and he's 20 [expletive] years old.

if we're going to be bad, it'd be nice for a high draft pick to turn into a genuine superstar.

Gray couldn't turn into a superstar?

Come on, man; we were just talking about Bryce Harper. No, Gray obviously isn't going to be Bryce Harper. If we're going to quibble over the semantics of a word as nebulous as "superstar," fine, whatever; he could be one, but he's clearly not going to be anywhere near the one we're talking about.

i think baez and soler have that potential. it's unlikely, but they could be among the top 3 at their positions, regular 5+ war players, which i'd consider a superstar. obviously both are extraordinarily unlikely to be like harper, who looks like he'll be one of the best players in the game for a decade.

BJ Upton k'ing in over 33% of his ABs

and he's (30%) currently not even in the top-15 for K frequency

Colby Rasmus is striking out in 43% of his PAs, and Chris Carter's also above 40%
