Reflecting on their first-round playoff series, members of the Miami Heat expressed their genuine surprise Thursday that they needed four games to beat the Milwaukee Bucks, team sources confirmed. “I know Dwyane [Wade] has been banged up, but it’s still pretty shocking that we couldn’t close out a team like the Bucks in less than four,” said small forward LeBron James, explaining that he and his teammates had expected to win the best-of-seven series in “no more than two or three games, tops.”

Chris Broussard says more things:

Wednesday, Broussard called in to the New York-based Power 105.1 "Breakfast Club" radio show, also known as "the world's most dangerous breakfast show," hosted by DJ Envy, Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God.

The conversation quickly turned to Broussard's comments regarding homosexuality.

"I'm fine with homosexuals," Broussard protested, insisting that he has at least one gay friend. "I disagree [with being gay], but disagree respectfully ... I don't have any problem with homosexuals."

When the hosts asked why Broussard was so convinced that Christianity banned open homosexuality, he quoted from the Bible's New Testament books First Corinthians and Romans, and from the Old Testament's Book of Leviticus.

The life of a Christian, Broussard explained, means having to constantly fight temptation. "And if you stumble and fall, then you get back up, you repent and ask God for forgiveness, and you move on," he said. “I think that applies to homosexuals as well."

Men who are attracted to other men can still be considered Christian if -- and only if -- they constantly try to counteract the same-sex attraction, Broussard said. And if they "repent, and they ask for forgiveness, and they keep trying to serve God, and they fall time and time again consistently, I believe that person is a Christian.”

I like to imagine Broussard pronounces Gay like he does Dwight, "GUUHAY."

The worst part of this whole thing is to hear the hypocrisy and crap coming from both sides. People in sports trying to lecture listeners and followers about religion as if they have a qualified respectable opinion and then religious groups talking in a hateful way to other people when it clearly is Christian fanaticism.

Everyone should take a deep breath, embrace tolerance and have a differing opinion without cramming it in the face of the other side.

Why can't someone be religious and not see the hypocrisy in god hating things he created? Unreal.

That's an overly simplistic way of looking at things. If someone thinks being gay is a choice, and thinks being gay is a sin, and believes that God gave humans free will, it's a lot more clear as to why they feel the way Broussard does.

But everyone is a sinner, there isn't the same hate for everyone else from these groups.

Who's being overly simplistic now?

No, I live well out of their range. I had a family member who was gay and died of aids. His brother was a drug addict, found Jesus, and was saved. He now posts on Facebook about how evil homosexuality is and it bothers the crap out of me. That was your brother and he did absolutely nothing wrong, besides not having safe sex. I just don't get people.

Sounds like his brother is an extreme person with an extreme personality who is living an unbalanced life. People are crazy.

Just came here to ask if VDN is gonna get fired.

Depends on what Chris Paul wants to get him to stay.

Weird that all 4 teams playing today (OKC, MEM, IND, NYK) all finished their playoff series on Friday (1 day rest), while 3 of the 4 teams playing tomorrow finished their series anywhere from Thursday (GSW) to last Sunday (Miami and SA). I understand the Miami-Chicago series because the Bulls finished yesterday, but weird that SA and GS aren't playing today.

Examples?

I guess I could see where throwing around the word hero when we don't really know if there will be any backlash against him for this act might rub people the wrong way. But that's nothing compared to the hypocracy from the other side.
