Moises and Aramis reserved there flights home after game 6. Kind of a lame thing to do.

That's an incredibly old story.

It doesn't sit all that great with me but it's not really a big deal.

I never understood why this was a big deal. I bet you this happens every year. Even if it doesn't, them buying tickets doesn't mean they don't care about the result, or are resigned to losing. It just means they are planning ahead. I'm sure they wanted nothing more than to cancel those tickets.

Yeah, but Alou basically intimated that he was somewhat resigned to losing...or at the very least "had a bad feeling." But still, agreed, not a big deal.

Oh and Sammy was amazingly hilarious on 5 Outs.

Yeah, he's fantastic, even in his vampire/zombie like state.

It's time. Just bring him back for something. Probably not a statue or jersey retirement, but put a flag on the roof with his name and have a ceremony for it. Without him and Woody, the Cubs would have been even more of a joke than they currently are. He made that team a lot of money.

Unless they removed it, there is a flag with his name on it in the roof already from his 66-homer season.

I'm not outraged by it like some meatball fans would be. I just dont understand the point. They could have got tickets the next day either way without reserving them before game 7.

And what the hell is Sammy Sosa doing to his skin and hair. I'm all for retiring Sammys number and I think the Roid monsters should be in the baseball hall of fame. But, looking at Sammy like that makes me cringe and less inclined to want to retire his number.

The team office reserved the tickets, which was and is standard protocol when facing an elimination game. Which was reported at the time, and conveniently ignored by our meatball press.

Didn't sound like it was standard protocol given the way Alou and Sosa talked about it...Alou in describing his decision to do so (and how he had a bad feeling about game 7) and Sosa in being shocked and unhappy that they did it.

Wrigley food was terrible when it was run by Aramark. It's Levy now.

Aramark ran the food at my college. They are horrendous.

Yeah, that company should probably be out of business. They provided lunches for a private school I worked at. They were indelible most of the time.

Aramark has most of the NFL contracts because their skill is based around making tons of food fast, irrelevant to whether it tastes like [expletive] or not. There are enough breaks in MLB games that it's not as important for them

I can understand the stains being permanent from eating that stuff, but I'm pretty sure you meant inedible.

After watching 5 outs, I didn’t feel all that depressed…I just felt like “Damn I can’t wait to be good again so I can experience the madness around the 2003/2004 seasons again.”

Yeah. Going to games and being around there when they are good is a [expletive] blast and I can't wait.

It was great until they got to Game 6. Then it was just depressing.
