Lillibridge as a 25th man is also pretty bad. He's unquestionably a subreplacement player. In theory, he should never be on an MLB roster for any reason. In practice? He should be no more than your 7th infielder stashed at AAA.

Yeah, but also in the context of what the Cubs are trying to accomplish his presence on the ML roster makes no sense.

Yeah, but he checked in at 93 in the '97 offseason. There are plenty of guys who've been a greater presence in the Top 100 that never sniffed the bigs.

Holy [expletive], the thought never crossed my mind he was actually a prospect at some point. #93 in BA's pre-2007, but still.

Somewhere, some fans were doing saying "I can't wait until Lillibridge comes up and fills that spot for years."

I was looking on a Cleveland board for comments on Rondon, and they had a "this is how awesome we'll be when we're done rebuilding" post from a few years ago that had Valbuena starting at 2b and Rondon at the front of their rotation.

funny that there is some debate in that thread on who we'd be getting in the draft between price and wieters.

-77 OPS+

Sort of seems like an oxymoron to have a negative OPS+.

EDIT: That said, Clevenger leads our bench with a stellar .125 BA.

I guess so, if you ignore Navarro.

And the fact that Clevenger died on Sunday with his last swing

did they ever give a further injury breakdown, I saw he went to the 60 day DL, which sounds like more than an oblique strain. Is it the dreaded upper body injury

They needed his spot on the 40-man for Kevin Gregg.

With Barney activated and Gonzalez in the lineup, I have a feeling we'll see the diminutive [expletive] DFA'd within an hour or two.

Kameron Loe.

Gregg isn't on the 40

He's also got the worst WAR on the team so far this year at -0.6 on B-R and -0.5 on Fangraphs.
