@Rotoworld_BB: Indians demote 3B Lonnie Chisenhall to AAA http://t.co/YLRhbSe1Dv

Any interest depending on the cost, assuming they're ready to move him?

With the emergence of Valbuena, Chisenhall is really kind of redundant.

Yeah, I wanted him prior to the season, now I think he'd be a downgrade.

Couldn't we also use Valbuena at 2nd and Barney as a utility infielder or SS when Dale has Starlin on punishment?

David Aardsma was released by the Marlins today. He did well in AAA and he can't be too much worse than......wow, I just realized I don't even know the names of the guys that suck in our bullpen. Bowden, that's one. He can't be much worse than Bowden, right?

Wait, Aardsma is still in baseball?

sure, it was only like 2 or 3 years ago that he randomly got good. any reliever with a glimmer of promise can bounce around for a while.

Oh, no I remember him having a couple good years, but then he didn't pitch in 2011 and I didn't recall ever seeing his name last year; lo and behold he logged a single inning for the Yankees.

Vogelsong broke his hand last night, out for some time. Do the Giants have any interesting prospects that they'd give up for Feldman/Wood?

Unless they start tanking I'd be surprised if they look for someone. They're saying 6-8 weeks, so he'll be back by the deadline I would think.

Sanchez to report to Iowa RT @dgoold: #Cubs claim Eduardo Sanchez off waivers from #cardinals

23 years old, nice K rates up until 2012 anyway, and was really good for the Cards 2 years ago. Sure, why not.

That's a very nice addition for free.

I know he's had a spotty history with injuries, but any other reason the Cards would just let him go? I'm not seeing much to dislike over this one. Great move by the FO.

Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch speculates that Sanchez was cleared from the Cardinals' 40-man roster in order to make room for Tyler Lyons. Either way, the Cubs were quick to pounce. The 24-year-old has struggled with his control, but he has a big arm and has displayed the ability to get swings-and-misses at the big league level. He could be a useful bullpen piece for Chicago. Thanks.

Young power arms for free is always nice.

ETA: This sounds like the perfect project for Derek Johnson.
