Maybe it's like Kerry Wood's and it'll blow up his arm if he throws it so he doesn't.

Either he's a good hitting catcher, or he is a good enough hitter to play corner OF. I'm fine with either.

FYI, Rodon had a power curve in HS which he scrapped for his slider when he got to NC State. I doubt his curve is that good when a) it wasn't as good back in HS and b) he hasn't thrown it in three years.

Rodon started off even worse last year and still ended up being the prohibitive favorite for 1.1 if he were eligible.

All that really needs to happen is for Houston to talk themselves into someone else. Counting on Florida and the WS to screw up their draft slots is almost a given.

Rodon started off even worse last year and still ended up being the prohibitive favorite for 1.1 if he were eligible.

Yeah, He wasn't pitching anything over 88 mph at this time last year, he always starts out ridiculously slow and gains arm strength more and more throughout the season. He'll still be #1 barring injury. A couple 13 K starts midseason and people will be oohing and ahhhing again.
