The Bears have plenty of needs; ordinary linebacker is not one of them.

Walterfootball's final 2 mocks have us taking DT Sheldon Richardson-LB Arthur Brown in one draft and CB Desmond Trufant-LB Kevin Minter in the other one.

Two players that'll keep the Bears at #20 are Richardson and Tavon Austin. I want to get Jay another weapon in the top 50, but damn Richardson and Brown would be the best 2 picks I could reasonably hope for.

I don't hate Te'o. I think he's a good fit. He makes up for his lack of elite athleticism with great instincts. He is solid in zone coverage which the Bears are known to play with their LBs. Dont like him at 20 though. I think u gotta wait for the chips to start falling. Trade back until a LB goes off the board (Ogletree). If u want Te'o and wind up with Arthur Brown or Kevin Minter all is not lost.

Depends on how often you're in the nickel. He may not officially be a starter, but he may be just as valuable.

A nickel in today's NFL is basically a starter with most teams running 3 wide.

Te'o would be an incredibly disappointing pick.

 

There are a lot of extremely bad picks on this list. DJ Fluker at 12 to the Dolphins is just brutal. There's no way that will happen.

Carolina supposedly considering Eifert at 14 according to the Charlotte Observer. I don't doubt they'd consider him but this is literally the first time I've ever seen that possibility floated. Has to be misdirection.
