I flipped over to the Miami-Boston game just in time to catch this classic moment:

Not as good without the double birds imo.

By the early moments of the third quarter, various media outlets were reporting the Celtics feared he had suffered a torn ACL.

That's when I went looking for some answers.

As I walked into the back hallway where the Celtics' locker room is located, I found Rondo himself, who was just returning to the Garden from the hospital. He was dressed in shorts and a pair of slides and moving easily, seemingly without pain.

"Hey," I told him, "people are reporting you have a torn ACL."

"Who said that?" Rondo responded. "A torn ACL? I don't even have the results yet. I'm going to see the doc right now."

As he ambled toward the locker room, he asked, "Could I be walking around like this with a torn ACL?"

"Yes," I answered. "Guys have played with torn ACLs before."

"I don't feel that bad," Rondo said. "I don't feel like I have something that serious, but I've never had one before. All I know is my leg felt funny."

Yow...that's how he found out.

“I’d say top 10,’’ the Miami Heat fifth-year man said of where he ranks. “I’m not in the lower part (of the top 10), I’m in the middle part. I just have confidence in myself. I think I can compete with the best of them…..

“That’s how I feel no matter what people say or what people think,’’ Chalmers said.

Omg ESPN the 9th place Lakers beat a crappy Hornets team at home by 6 points. Lets write 4 articles about how important it is and paste it on the front page.

Hollinger has the Lakers as #12, above the #13 Bulls.

Marc Stein has the Lakers as #13, only two spots below the #11 Bulls.

Cool they definitely deserve 3-4 articles after beating the crappy hornets. Just annoyed because it seems like every single game is a front page event on ESPN. I'm not opposed to more coverage than the average NBA team but i feel like everytime Howard has a bowel movement it gets analyzed extensively.

What, you're not convinced that a 5 point home win over the worst team in the West is a sign that the Lakers have turned it around?

Wasn't arguing they deserved the articles. Just that ESPN overrates the Lakers. Meanwhile CBS has them ranked 21st.

It's amusing that the Lakers are the lead sports story over the Clippers on the local news 90% of the time.

Stein said Calderon to Detroit for Daye and Prince. Good move for Detroit if true since Calderon is an expiring and Prince has a year left.

Real solid move for them. It's too bad the Conley/Mayo/Gay/Z-BO/Gasol starting lineup could never quite gel/stay healthy together to make a run for a few years.

At least we can laugh at the many Laker stories on ESPN tomorrow.
