Rose - $19

Love - $15 (on current deal)

Noah - $12

Gibson - $9.5

Butler - $1

MLE - $6

MLE - $6

MIN (x7) - $7

-----------------

Total - $75

Luxury tax line this year - $70m

Sorry you lose.

Edit: Obviously i dont know what the luxury tax line will be in whatever year this deal happens and I am plesantly surprised that $75 isnt outrageous. It's possible old man Reinsdorf signs off on that, especially if he can trade one of those MLE guys midseason when he determines the team isnt championship caliber to get under the tax.

Well you likely already "lose" by signing Gibson to that extension, even if you amnesty Boozer. So there's that.

Belinelli runs circles around Korver. I was way wrong assuming they were similar players. Teague is going to be a solid trade chip. I think a package of Teague, Mirotic, the Charlotte pick ailing with a player to balance the money can get Love. Maybe won't need all those young players if they take Noah or Deng and Taj as a combo.

You're dreaming. Teague, Mirotic and the Charlotte pick isn't even in the ballpark to get Love.

If our team name was Los Angeles Lakers we would be overpaying.

Yes, because all NBA trades are fair. If Love wants out he's gone. If he wants to play for the Bulls, he probably will.

Teague is just about worthless. He's a bench player for any team. The Bobcats pick has a low chance of being decent. It is at least top 8 protected until 2016. That's a long ways away. And even a crappy team like the Bobcats can be mediocre enough to avoid the lottery once in the next 4 years. Especially if they continue to be in the lottery. Mirotic is intriguing, but he's the only piece you named that has any value.

Love is signed through 2015. That's 2 more seasons after this one. This is nowhere near the Carmelo Anthony or Dwight Howard situation, and even those guys netted more than Teague and Mirotic.

I'd love for them to get Love without giving up Noah and multiple picks. But I don't think it's even remotely possible. It's like going to the transactions section and reading "let's give up Darwin Barney and Brett Jackson for...."

I want to believe, but come on. Dwight Howard spent two years pining for the Nets.

I was thinking about this earlier. Was Korver better for the Bulls when Rose was on the floor and Bellineli better for a Rose-less offense? Honestly, I just started watching the Bulls this year about a week ago and love what Bellineli has been doing, but I still don't trust him as an option to space the floor to the amount that Korver did. With Rose and his ability to create, and especially create with space, I thought having Korver out there was really good for spacing out the floor, and I am not sure Bellineli has that same respect.

I will admit that I have not watched enough of Bellineli this year and could completely be off on the following paragraph, so I'll happily accept criticism if I'm off base. I kind of regret shunning the Bulls to start the season because from watching the last week they appear to be an interesting bunch that plays the same kind of Thibs-ball the previous 2 teams had, and they all generally seem to like each other. Of course I'm sure it looks better because they are winning at the moment, and I expect bumps during this stretch and until Rose gets back, but there's definitely entertainment value with this team sans-Rose.

What is to be gained from playing Hinrich at this point? Get Teague some seasoning so he can be a part of the rotation when Rose comes back. It's not like you want him playing heavy minutes right away. Hinrich is a zero at this point.

I did mention them taking Noah or Deng/Taj combo.

Thibs will have Rose playing every minute.

I don't want to see Kirk Hinrich in a Bulls uniform again once Rose is back.

The last four words are superfluous.
