Great game. I've heard about every Bear defensive player this season making great highlight reel plays, but this was the first I had heard of Urlacher. He looked really slow in the INT return even though it was a fantastic play. How is Urlacher playing? I know the Tampa 2 doesn't showcase Brian, but it just seems like he a shell of his former self. Has the knee progressed or regressed since week 1?

it absolutely showcases urlacher's coverage skills. the fact that opposing teams haven't been abusing the middle of the field passing-wise speaks to his continuing ability to get the job done. you think the defense would look like this if they had some guy can't play patrolling the middle of the field? come on, rumors of his demise are greatly exaggerated.

His speed is greatly diminished, but while people will talk about how slow he looked running that INT back, they'll miss how quickly he read & got into position on that play. Without that, the INT doesn't happen in the first place.

Urlacher has clearly lost a step. But there's a lot more to playing football than pure foot speed. He's still plenty fast. But now he really knows how to position himself and diagnose plays. Something that has always been covered up by his physical ability in the past. Ray Lewis has lost a step too, but the Ravens D knows what he adds to them. Urlacher does the same, if not more for the Bears D.

Has anyone else mentioned that the Bears have the best point differential in the NFL currently by a wide margin?

Current top 5 teams in point differential (all teams have played 8 games):

BEARS: +116

Texans: +100

Patriots: +92

49ers: +86

Falcons: +77

Does anyone know of a good site to buy NFL jerseys on the cheap? Like a few others mentioned in this thread, it might be time to pick up a Tillman jersey.

Me too. I'd love to get a Tillman alternate.

have i mentioned that the atlanta falcons don't scare me at all?

Agreed. Wish we played them this season.

If Bears make the playoffs and miss out on the bye, a 2nd round match with the Falcons would not be a bad path to the NFC Championship.

Jay isn't even making it hard for Smokin' Jay Cutler anymore.

Not that it matters, but does anyone know what it would be strictly based on what the offense scores against what the defense gives up? Bears would lose 49 points right?

After the game during the Fox post game, they interviewed Urlacher and some dumbass said "I thought you were rumbling to the endzone rather than streaking" or something to that matter. Urlacher looked at him very straight faced and said he was not going top speed because he was trying to set up blockers.

I've seen him come up short on plenty of plays this year, but it didn't look like he was struggling trying to kick it into gear on that interception. Also, he caught Chris Johnson from behind on that play that he forced the fumble. Sure, he was impeded to an extent, but he Chris Johnson is still no easy to catch from behind like that.

wow, what a fuckin' game...easily the best football game i've ever attended! shout outs to all the bears fans that made the trip into nashville and took over the city..."let's go bears" chants were heard throughout nashville all weekend, and by the time the 3rd quarter rolled around it was pretty much just bears fans left in the stadium...LOVED IT.

This site looks janky, but I have ordered jerseys from here and they are legit. Shipping is high, but if you order several jerseys the shipping per item isn't bad at all. Only problem is that they only have the blue Tillman jersey.

Those gray things are hideous. Lot of ugly stuff on there but they have the basics. I'm probably going to order from there soon.

lol...Mac and Spiegel replaying Hub's predictions. Hilarious. He basically picked against the Bears because the Bears had won too many in a row.

Aaron Schatz: I don't know about single-game records, but from 2000-2011 a cornerback only forced at least four fumbles in a SEASON 18 times. By the way, five of those times were ... Charles Tillman.

This was the first game all year that the Titans D didn't allow points on either of the opponents' first two drives.
