And its a "double"

Can they at least kick those idiot fans out? That should be mandatory when a fan interferes with a ball.

Pretty sure it is.

I like how the video wasn't "conclusive" enough. But they could change the call from a HR to 2B without any sort of conclusive evidence.

The problem is the 'has to be conclusive to overturn' thing. So you are putting a heavy bias on what the umpire originally thinks he sees, and not letting the umpire use the replay to make the correct judgement.

Even more annoying is that in the NFL, it seems to go back and forth between the refs actually following the 'conclusive to overturn' rule' or not.

I think they called it a 2B initially. Len hesitated because it looked like it was interference live.

But it's probably Dempster's fault.

We all know Kyle is just happy that he wasn't forced to half heartedly cheer for a HR whilst not in the moment.

Don't really see why those fans should be kicked out. Most of us seem to think it was a HR so why should they get in trouble for thinking the same thing?

I don't even know if he's a viable option to start anymore.

Doesn't matter what they thought. Fan interference is fan interference.

I wouldn't trust him to drive Dempster to the airport.

Dempster would just give him the wrong directions on purpose.

I guess I just disagree with it in this circumstance. Not on balls that bounce over third and are called fair and a guy leans over and picks it up as it bounces past, those I'd agree with. Same with the Jeter homer back in the day. This one, eh, I don't think the guy's arm was more than a foot past the fence, and he wasn't leaning over the wall with his arm dangling down way bellow the yellow line.

I'm not disagreeing with what you're saying, just saying I think the punishment might be a bit harsh in this scenario.
