Borderline. Hit hard to the shortstop's right and he tried to backhand it. Ball hit his glove, but it was a tough play given how hard it was hit.

Hot shot to SS, Tejada moved about a step and a half to his right, ball took a funny hop as he tried to backhand it, and caromed away.

Hard hit about 2 steps to the SS's right. SS dove, and the ball deflected off his glove and rolled away from him.

Randy Wells isn't particularly good.

He just doesn't have a pitch to get guys out anymore. His margin of error was so thin to begin with. After the injury he just doesn't have it anymore.

It was cool that one year, that one time Wells had good control and a good slider, change, and 2-seamer/sinker. That was fun.

So, this Valbuena guy. Is Vitters THAT much of a defensive liability or is there a clock issue with him? Or, is he just not a Theo guy? I haven't kept up with the chatter, but it seems like he is doing some ok things offensively. What gives?
