Just how good is Jose Altuve? He's a couple months younger than Castro and is playing really well. At 5'7 I'm assuming his power will be minimal, but is he someone who's expected to hit .310 every year?

Morrison was dealing with a leg injury at the beginning of the year - forget if it was hammy or knee.

ha, outstanding. I'm glad to see "burtation" making it into our vocabulary.

Knees. He had surgery in the off season. I can't remember if it was on one or both.

Sounds like severe migraines. There was a reporter that had a similar issue on the red carpet a couple years back. Initially called a stroke, later determined to be severe migraines.

That was a pretty chicken [expletive] move by the Nationals to bust Peralta for pine tar.

Well ok, not totally, as he WAS breaking a rule, but he pitched for them last year and he probably did it then, too, but nobody in the organization said a damn thing about it then. Just the hypocrisy of it all bothers me.

I don't understand what is so hypocritical, or why people have a problem with what they did. They knew he cheated and was easily bustable, so they had him busted. If he was so stupid to openly cheat with one team and then pull the same stuff while facing them, that's his problem.

Hypocracy: "It's ok when you do it for me, but not ok when you do it for anyone else." What Washington did is the very definition of the word.

Should Peralta have cheated? Absolutely not. Does he deserve the suspension he's about to receive? Absolutely yes. But Washington letting him get away with it for them, but then busting him as soon as he does it against them was crappy. If they were ok with it then, they should be ok with it now. End of story.

So the Nationals should have let an opposing pitcher have an illegal advantage against them for some [expletive] "loyalty" reason?

I don't know what hypocracy is but that's not the definition of hypocrisy. Why should a team be ok with a player cheating against them?

If you are a cheater you are best off not letting anybody know, on your team or other teams, because odds are you will not all be on the same team for your entire career.
