Geo with that great team approach there.

You want him to sacrifice the guy over for the pitcher to drive him in?

Umm, no. I would like Geo to go opposite field in that situation and at least try and get him over. It opens up the squeeze possibility at the very least.

So you wanted him to sacrifice the guy over for the pitcher to drive him in. That's what you are asking for here with that nonsensical "team approach" BS. You don't do such a thing. You try and drive the guy in yourself, because the pitcher is almost certainly a K, and if all else fails you still have a man in scoring position for the leadoff hitter.

Who said purposely? I said take a shot to right field and at LEAST get him over. But Geo is great and all, so no biggie.

Taking a shot at RF is limiting yourself for the sole purpose of a stupid sacrifice with the pitcher coming up next leaving the most likely situation 2 outs with a man on 3rd for the leadoff hitter. You take your best hack in that situation.

Doesn't Billingsley have some crazy home/road splits for his career?

Not for his career. Last year was a pretty wide gap though.

Yeah, I had it in my mind that he had a big split but when I looked yesterday it wasn't very big. Noticeable, but nothing crazy.

I'm expecting a seeing eye single from Stewart here in bizarro inning.
