No game thread up so I figured I would start one. Looks like these might end up being first come first serve this year with the way the team is playing.

I'm about a game or two from being willing to have Johnson start over Byrd.

Starting as the 7th hitter in this lineup and then being bumped to 8th after three games indicates to me that Sveum doesn't have much use for him. Watching him a couple times also gives me the impression that Byrd is somehow "disinterested" for lack of a better word. His first couple years he seemed more intense and gung ho about his role.

When a player's been with one team, especially yours for long enough, they just look weird in any other uniform. Aramis just looks wrong in the Brewers uniform.

Ball to his right with runner moving from 2nd to 3rd, looked like he wanted to get the out at 3rd. He seemed to rush it, muffed the glove attempt then when he picked it up he dropped it again.

 

It was an easy 6-3 if he wanted it.

Ground ball, fairly sharp, two steps to his right. He tried to backhand it while looking at the runner going from second to third, and it hit the heel of his glove and went straight down. He tried to pick it up and still go for the runner, and bobbled it again.
