Oh c'mon, Ross threw himself into Hulls, who was just happening to shuffle himself right into his path?

I thought Ross beat him to the spot and Hulls slid in front of him after getting beat.

This is what I thought, too.

[expletive]! This would be a terrible loss. Senior night, chance to win your first conference title in 20 years. No excuse for losing this one.

I think I feel the worst for Hulls.

So if Indiana loses to Michigan what are all the tiebreaker scenario's? Who wins the regular season if OSU, MICH, IND and one of MSU/WIS end up 13-5?

I just hope they can pull it out for Matt Roth

It'll be best records vs each other on down

So Wisconsin would win it if they beat MSU if they all finish 13-5 and IND would win it if MSU beats WIS. Below would be the head to head records if they were to tie (taking into account a MICH win over IND and what MSU/WIS final H2H record would be with a win Thurs, obviously only one can end up tied).

IND 4-3

MICH 4-4

MSU 3-4

OSU 4-4

WIS 4-2

Fail to take advantage of opponents horrid shooting. (And favorable early calls)

Insert an awful lineup consisting of five backups for no discernible reason when you have momentum.

Commit 5-6 totally unforced turnovers.

Play Oglesby/McCabe together for extended minutes when foul trouble isn't a problem.

Par for the course for Iowa. A lot of bad luck for them this season, a lot of it the fault of their own coach.

While I don't disagree about some of Fran's rotations, foul trouble was absolutely a concern. Marble, Clemmons and May all had 2. Now you can argue about the autobench with 2 fouls in the first half for specific players, but that definitely played a part in that decision.

That was over and back.

Yep. Refs totally missed it. Glad I'm not the only one who saw it. Game changer. Dammit.

I started to question my knowledge of the rules. That seemed obvious

2 of the refs signaled immediately that it was tipped out so maybe the rule is that you have to have possession and it can legally be tipped out after a missed shot?

This is the only loss where I didn't even imagine a loss could happen before the game started. Couldn't have picked a better script. Senior night for maybe the most important senior class in school history. Also potentially the final game for the biggest recruiting win in the school's history. A win would have given them a conference title, 20 years after their last outright title. It would have likely sealed up a first tourney weekend in nearby Dayton, OH. It would have sealed up basically a home game for the NCAA regionals. Have to win this game. Now face going into the post season losing 3 of 4 games after losing just 3 games to that point all season. Lose at Michigan and don't win the B1G tourney and they'll go from #1 overall seed to possibly a 2 seed.

As far as worst case scenarios go, that isn't too bad lol.

It sucks but...oh well. At least Iowa beat Illinois. \:D/

For IU-UM-OSU-Wisconsin 4 way tie it breaks out:

WI

OSU

IU

UM

For IU-UM-OSU-MSU it breaks out:

IU

OSU

UM

MSU

So Indiana clinches the 1 seed with a MSU win on Thursday.

Thanks. I want no part of IU/UM so if there's a 4-way tie it looks like the 7 seed would be preferable. I think I'd rather play OSU than Wisconsin.

Tom Crean thinks Illinois' white assistant with the buzzed head claps too much. Holy [expletive] between that guy and Groce all of the "clappy" and "spaz" stuff lobbed at Crean from you guys needs to be scrubbed from the internet.

This we knew...

Gottlieb:

Or winner RT @jppalmCBS: He's not the most gracious loser. RT @GoodmanCBS: Tom Crean wanted NO part of that handshake with Thad Matta.

This I was unaware of...

Goodman:

So true. RT @BSnowScout: @GoodmanCBS They (Crean and Matta) don't like each other, even a little bit, very very mutual.
