Will Gonzaga be #1 on mon? That's pretty cool for them.

They have to be. Right?

It's March now. #1 in the polls is meaningless. At this point, it's all about whether Gonzaga deserves a 1 seed in the tourney.

The polls are always meaningless. Doesn't mean it wouldn't be a cool feat for Gonzaga.

Spoiler alert, they do not.

To a school like gonzaga this is absolutely false. They've never been number one before. This would be a huge deal to them.

I really hope SLU can gain entry. The A-10 is going to get whacked and it's a [expletive] conference as is.

They're too Jewish.

You're thinking of Wash U.

SLU getting kept out of the new Big East would suck. Screw Creighton.

I'm clearly ecstatic that Creighton is looking to be the 10th team, but I would rather see the league grow to 12 and have SLU in the league as well. SLU-Creighton has the writings of a natural rivalry.

Indiana: "3-0 against No. 1 seeds." It's a thing.

THIS close to Illinois having the same.

Illinois' resume is really good (albeit a little confusing). Will be an interesting test-case for seeding, I think.

Just looking at Lunardi's bracket hurts my brain. I hate Duke, but they lose to Virginia on the road and he thinks Miami overtakes them as a 1? Am I wrong in thinking that tournament seeding is based on the body of work rather than what you did last night?

Isn't lunardi pretty awful at this though? I mean he gets most of the teams right, but he's not all that accurate.

He's awful. We destroy him every year and our work consists of some PM's and like 4 hours of research per committee member for a week.

Yeah, Lunardi isn't particularly good. I like looking at the Bracket Matrix, which shows an average of dozens of bracket projections. I feel like that's a more centered look, especially when talking about a certain team and where they stand.

A couple of sites/people on there have Iowa in. Weird.

1 of the 3 was last updated before the Nebraska game, and straight Pomeroy has them as a 9 seed, but yeah, you guys need to beat Indiana, or make a run to the finals of the BTT

I also read we're a real contender for Lyle, so the inevitable question is who are plan B and C at this point, because that's who we'll end up with.

Lyle had 41 points, 21 rebounds and six assists last night in sectional semifinal win.

I keep reading we lead for him. I hope Groce can land him.

Would have liked to have seen that. Maybe when they make their way closer to this area; I went to the Warren Central sectional (Trey Lyles, Collin Hartman, Jalen Coleman).

Me too, a guard getting twenty one rebounds. That's crazy.

Good grief, are they pathologically unable to win a game if they don't run away with it? Baffling.
