I missed that. What as he said?

They've been passive aggressive, but he stated how it would be hard to not recruit a talented team at Illinois, and also said recently on the radio here that Kruger left him a loaded team, but how he was proud he was able to build it and leave it in a better spot.

I didn't really interpret those as weber shots.

The loaded team one definitely was. How are you not seeing that one?

I think he said that when UI was highly ranked, so I didn't interpret it as a shot because it had appeared that he did leave UI stocked enough to compete at a high level.

Haha I'd love to see what the committee does with an Illini team that goes 7-11 in the conference with wins @ Gonzaga, Butler neutral, and vs. Indiana and Ohio State. Nice win!

With Florida and Indiana losing Michigan can get back to #1 with a win at Wisky this weekend.

No that was recently, he said it this past week about how he felt he left the place in a better spot than he inherited it. At least how I understood it.

If we get to 7 wins we are in. We should have won at MSU too. Our wins are too good to leave out if we get to 20 wins, imo.

He made similar comments earlier this year. Regardless, he has every right to hate Weber. Weber talked hella [expletive] about him when he first got to UI, held the funeral, etc. I don't blame him for disliking him.

Don't take this as a slam against Illinois, because they hit some big shots late and did what they needed to do to win. One of my questions with Crean is why not call a timeout towards the end just to calm the team down? There were several possessions in the last 3 minutes where IU seemed to be rushing shots, when there was absolutely no need to do so.

The play with Hulls, wide open for 3, then tries to drive and misses a runner. He's better off shooting the three. Sheehey rushed a 3 when IU was up two from the corner with about 17 seconds left on the clock, no need to take that shot. IU played pretty stupid down the stretch.

Again, credit to Illinois for doing what they needed to do. I just think IU made it easier for them to do so. Did any of you Illinois guys see it that way too?

Lol, I agree one hundred percent. The best was the comment about how he beat Self once and lost close another, so he owned him.

So...from 70-62 we got back in the game like this:

DJ Three pointer

DJ blocks Watford's jumper

DJ Three pointer

DJ two point jumper

God's gift to basketball Victor Oldadipo layup

God's gift to basketball Victor Oldadipo foul on Paul

Paul makes two free throws

God's gift to basketball Victor Oldadipo turnover

(DJ Steal)

God's gift to basketball Victor Oldadipo blocks DJ's shot

Griffey gets rebound and makes the layup

I think we should give DJ a one game exemption from calling him worthless.

(IU fans, forgive the knock on Oladipo - he's a really good player, I've just been tiring of the hype on him lately. The "mini-Jordan" stuff was particularly appalling)

Yeah, definitely thought Sheehey's shot and Hulls passing up the 3 were huge mistakes by IU.

Yes, I thought Crean did what he usually does at the end of games. He got in his own way. If you guys would fire him and bring in Stevens I would be terrified of you. I mean it's IU, it's gonna recruit itself. Hopefully you keep clappy around for a long time.

Agreed, but that was one hell of a block. I thought it saved the game, for the time.

That was a really strange game. That just came out of nowhere.

Side note, have Illinois fans stopped making fun of Crean for being a spaz now that they have Groce?

No.

But we are emphasizing the creepy aspects more highly.
