I don't think it's that crazy.

if your biggest issue at the end of the season is whether your coach gets screwed out of a stupid coach of the year award, i'd say things went pretty well. of course, not surprising that an illini fan is preemptively whining about something like that.

He's a Mizzou fan

Jay Simpson out for the year for Purdue due to foot issues. I think that's a good thing for him because he should be able to get a redshirt still and he wasn't playing very much. I'm still really excited about his future.

Purdue is a good rebounding team, a good defensive team, but a terrible shooting team. Kendall Stephens is sorely needed, but they need more than one shooter.

He's played 10 games, I can't imagine him getting a medical.

I know I'm a negative bitch about KU, but if you read this thread, you'd assume UI had lost 3-4 games this year.

They look pretty good this year.

I've been pleased, just wish we handled the mid majors better.

/low low majors

G-Webb, Western Carolina, Eastern Kenticky, whoever else....I know those aren't total dog [expletive] teams but they aren't "mid majors". Right now this is a team that plays to its competition regardless of class.

Theyre playing down to level of competition because those lesser teams are game planning them. Do you think Ohio state is going to play a different defense on them every time up the court?

The rule changed, a player can play in a maximum of 30% of a team's games now. The way the math works he had to be shut down before last night's game to be eligibile. Plus he only played 70 some minutes. That's no guarantee, but it seems likely.

You better hope Purdue makes a run in the BTT or plays its way into the NIT then. They only have 31 regular season games. They'd need 34 in order to get below the 30% threshold.

I count 31 regular season games and 1 BTT game. 32 * .3 = 9.6 games and they round up.

Why would they round up? 10 games is more than 30% of 32

Not sure why, but the rule is that any decimal rounds up. So even 9.1 would round up to 10 games allowed.

Stop me if you have heard this before:

Maurice Creek out indefinitely with foot injury. Poor bastard.

Did it happen as a result of Hulls shoving him?

Never know, Hulls is a powerful man.

He has the strength of 10 prior Indiana point guards.

They're all Daniel Moore.

Has Creek played more than 10 games? Maybe he can get another medical redshirt.

edit: oh wait, IU is good so he can probably play like 15 games and get one

I bet it's DePaul

BYU for the upset. I liken it to "The Bachelor". Whenever the finalist list includes 4 hotties and an inexplicable choice, the guy's already made his final choice, he's just stringing the hotties along because they're hot.
