I teared up watching this.

The shots of sluggers and the Aon/BCBS buildings lit up really made it real for me.

Yeah, they nailed a lot of little touches. Little Bartman shout-out, too.

Where was Bartman in this commercial?

I thought the guy alone on the roof looking off at Wrigley in the distance at the :31 mark is supposed to be him. Freezing the clip it doesn't look like he has glasses on or a turtleneck under his jacket like I thought.

That was awesome. Gave me chills. But I think the celebration will be even crazier than that.

I think there is a very real possibility that the area surrounding Wrigley doesn't survive the celebration.

Several of my Cardinal fan friends have been posting this on Facebook as a way to mock Cubs fans.

I just reply with something along the lines of "Only the 'Best fans in baseball' would watch their team win another World Series and still spend most of their time worrying about a team that hasn't win in over 100 years."

Haven't gotten much of a response, but then again, they had no clue who David Freese was until the WS...

If the Cubs ever do win the series in my lifetime, especially if they clinch it at Wrigley, no matter where I am or what I'm doing, I'm going to immediately hop in the car and drive the 2 1/2 hours or so and spend about a week completely drunk. And I will not regret a single moment.

I tell people here in Texas that I think the whole city may implode. If it does, I will go with it. No way the Cubs are in the WS and I'm not in Chicago even if I can't get a ticket.

Pretty sure the Weiner's Circle doesn't have ketchup squeeze bottles... isn't that the whole point?

Wouldn't that just be for the dogs?

They do appear to have ketchup (presumably for the fries)...not sure they actually have squeeze bottles or not.

I know Gene and Judes has no ketchup on the premises whatsoever.

I'm pretty sure it's in pumps with little paper cups.

Commercial ruined, now sucks.

ETA: lol at that streetview shot -- amazing!

They've actually got that for a bunch of establishments now. Pretty cool. I think the pictures are owner submitted.

Not only that but you are immediately identified as an outsider and welcomed with a scowl for even asking for ketchup.

Mmmm....I've got Gene and Judes on my mind now.

I told my wife in 2003 and 2008 that if the Cubs made it to the WS and it looked like they would have a potential clinching game in Chicago, I was going to be taking off work and school and flying up there, if even just to stand on the street outside.

She, of course, said I was crazy. Which I am. Being so emotionally invested in an team/game that has no tangible effect on your life and over which you have absolutely no control of is [expletive] crazy. But it is what it is.

I finally broke down and watched it. The helicopter scene from Waveland ... isn't that real footage from the 2003 playoff series against Florida?

I'll be there, even without a ticket. I have a feeling everyone will.

Saw the commercial on TV last night. It's well done. Don't want fantasy commercials, though. Want the real thing.

That commercial is so dumb because it doesn't show the awesome new singles deck and video board.

Balls hit onto the deck will be HRs not singles. :thisaintwiffleball:
