Bears looking at RB Michael Bush; Matt Forte could be heading for a holdout, not gonna sign franchise tag soon. Makes sense

I would love to add a playmaker on the defensive side of the ball and shore up the edges of the o-line. I think as far as guard goes, we're ok.

What a clown, let him hold out. I'm tired of the games. They offered him fair money, if he wants to not sign I assume we can just tag him again next year, we have the leverage. It's a passing league now anyway.

I guess with what's been done, I want a nice DE added. Then, in the draft, we can truly go BPA. We can add a DT, WR, CB, OT, and RB through the draft. I guess we neef a TE somewhere too.

You won't have to deal with all the pressure of playing in the playoffs and your work year will be shorter!

We're going to trade for Tebow and he'll ensure you go to heaven!

Looks like freeney is going to be released. Still checking news about bears and any offensive lineman and nothing yet.

As opposed to the Bears who have been to the playoffs once in the last 5 years right?

(I know I know, the Bears are much more equipped to make the playoffs this year than Jacksonville)

Doesn't matter... Didn't Marshall one year cut his hand badly when he fell into his TV or broke his hand somehow before the season started? I wanna say it was 2008 cuz it was a year he was with Cutler still. He still caught 100+ balls that year with a messed up hand.

EDIT: I guess it was his forearm that was all messed up that year, but he did said that his hand was numb all season long...

So Mario is evidently leaving Buffalo without a deal. Supposedly has 3 teams wanting him to take visits. Biggs said earlier today we weren't involved "at this time" but I hope like hell that changes, even though we'd definitely have to make some other moves to accomodate it.

I don't think the Bears have ennough cap space to make a competitive offer for Mario Williams.

I agree. But, it appears we're going to cut Barber. If we cut Spencer, it'd save us another 4 mill. That probably gets us far enough under to do it. Plus, you could possibly get someone to restructure. Longshot of Mario happening? Absolutely. But until he goes somewhere, I'm still optimistic.

have we changed our minds about forte by bringing in Bush? Would that free up enough?

They franchised him, so I'm pretty sure they owe him that no matter what.

we could trade him, but that seems unlikely.

And Kellen Davis is back on a 2 year deal. I'm happy with that. Any chance Kyle Adams can develop into a decent pass catching TE?

I don't know the dollar amount.

Biggs says Idonije, Okoye, and Steltz are still possible to bring back. Oh well, I guess we're done with any large contract additions. Still, we have a lot of flexibility, as far as the draft goes.

That Mullin guy was on CTL a little while ago and said he believes the Bears are still in on Mario and thinks we are the other visit he still supposedly has scheduled. He said there is definitely money left to sign him and McCaskey has told Emery money isn't an issue. The guy is probably just saving face, but hell, I hope he's right.
