so marshall gave some girl a black guy?

Black eye?

Freudian slip from a poster on this site a year or two ago.

Carlos Zambrano was going to give Milton Bradley a black guy. I wonder if Milty ever received him.

So with Weems - sounds like he's now the go to KR guy (he actually had a higher yards per return average than Hester last year on KR) and competing for slot receiver.

So does anyone have an idea of how much cap space the Bears have left to work with?

Somewhere between 10-18Mil depending on what Jennings got.

That's 10-18M after accounting for rookie contracts, correct?

He's a punt returner and part-time KR. It's what he's always been best at.

Weems seems like the exact same player that Sam Hurd was/is, but shorter and better at returning. Special teamer and a 5th WR. My only concern with this signing is does it mean the Bears aren't going to draft a WR?

Still have Bennett and Hester. Sanzenbacher's still around, and while not guaranteed a spot...he did some positive things at times last year. And Knox is still going to be on the team in 1 way or another. Marshall replaces Roy. Weems replaces Hurd. Do the Bears see this as a full roster of WRs? Are they not counting on Knox at all? If they do think Knox could contribute anything this year, would they really draft a WR, making Knox the 4th and Hester the 5th WR?

so, explain this plz, are the rookie contracts not part of this years cap space? they only count towards next years? does the cap grow to include a budget for them?

Josh McCown just said he's re-signing with the Bears.

interesting.

3rd QB at league min, no? Wasn't Enderle a Martz guy? I guess they can let them fight it out for the 3rd spot.

Sanzenbacher can go bye bye. If the right WR is there (and the best available player) at your pick I think you have to take him.

Bears need to address DE and OL in FA.

not really. At this point, they could draft heavy those two positions.

Either way, they need to add another impact player with that much in cap space. Especially if Marshall is suspended for 6-8 games.

Manningham would be interesting and of course Mario or even Wimbley would be win.

I'd like to see them get one or the other though.

Throwing away a 5th round pick, the year after throwing away a 6th round pick on a QB who didn't even make the team. Thank God for Cutler, because this organization sucks at finding QBs.
