Here is why I am still optimistic:

1. A replacement-level QB could go 4-2 against the Bears' remaining schedule with the D and ST advantages the Bears offer. KC and SEA are inexcusable no matter what happens, DEN and MIN are also both terrible but on the road, OAK is an average team, and GB is probably resting starters by week 16 at this rate having wrapped up the division and a bye...and if they haven't by that point it means the Bears are somehow still in contention for the division and they have a playoff spot clinched anyway.

The only thing about Green Bay is that they also have the whole perfect season thing going. If that's still intact in week 16 regardless of whether they clinced the division and byes, I could see them playing their starters throughout.

In non-Cutler news, I didn't realize this but apparently Hester did not play any offense in the game. Interesting, even if its probably because he's been banged up lately.

Hey remember when the park district and the Bears decided to stay with the crappy grass field instead of field turf because of injury issues?

Well Knox slipping on the poor footing led to the interception which led to our QB breaking his thumb and being out for the season, so, good job Chicago park district.

I always knew he was going to get a severe injury with the Bears, I just always figured it would occur in the pocket.

Yeah, I don't see GB resting starters in week 16. Either they still have their undefeated season going or they won't have clinched homefield advantage yet. Either scenario could have them playing. If San Francisco happens to beat one of Baltimore/Pittsburgh, then it could be both.
