yeah, sweet. now we can turn our attention to something important, like, who our baseball players will be!

 

maddux was my fave, gotta go with the mustache and the pitching thing, but sveum will do.

How are we going to compensate Boston for stealing their first choice as manager?

 

Obviously by giving them Matt Garza and/or Starlin Castro.

It honestly wouldn't be out of character for them to demand more for Theo because of this move.

I don't recall an in-depth article about him specifically, but it was reported that was one of his major duties with the Red Sox over the years.

-- Sveum took a progressive, data-driven approach to his job. As the Red Sox’ infield coach, he studied spray chart data and took a more aggressive approach to defensive shifts than virtually any other team before Joe Maddon became the manager of the Rays.
