Here is my timeline of my knowledge of C.C.

2005 ------------------------2007--------------------------------2010-------------------
Just some random poster........This dude works in my building!..........This guy has a hard on

---------------------------2011----------------------------------------Oct2011
for the tech thread............Weird everyone hates this guy..why?.....30 [expletive] PERCENT?!?

Your timeline is broken. You must return to the prime timeline and stop CC from finishing his tech hard-on. It is the only way to save this thread.

Jason McLeod

Jason McLeod is the Director of Amateur Scouting for the Boston Red Sox. He has been in this position since 2004, after being encouraged to come east from the San Diego Padres by Sox GM Theo Epstein, who worked with McLeod in San Diego.

What would this mean for Wilken?

He is reportedly not coming over as a scouting director but will be taking another position with the Cubs.

He will be the Assistant GM for Hoyer, I believe that is/was his position in SD.

On my phone but the Tribune twitter is saying Theo will be announced tomorrow

The current story on their website hedges. It says source reported Friday, Cubs are "prepared" to do it Friday, but it may not happen Friday.

Which could also mean they have no [expletive]ing idea what the Red Sox brain trust will do between now and then.

They originaly tweeted that 7 hours ago when it was assumed the deal was almost done. wpbc has been retweeting a bunch of old tweets making things pretty confusing if you follow him. Generally a good source of info but a little wacky currently

I know there has been speculation in the past that Maddux wanted some kind of front office position. I hope he is added to the dream team. Although I still think he would be the perfect manager.

Kap argues with a Boston radio guy(as I have with this guy for the last couple of weeks):

That guy used to work in Des Moines and he would post on an Iowa Hawkeyes message board. He was pretty dumb.

I can't listen at the moment, is it Matt Perrault? If so, he's douche of the highest order.

I thought Matty P was still working in Omaha covering Creighton? Screw that guy. Go Shocks.

I think the big reason that Maddux avoids on the field jobs is because he doesnt want to have to have that much time or travel with the team. I think he's enjoyed being at home more since he retired. He's had the ability to come and go as he pleased with his special assistant to the GM title.

He left Omaha for KXNO in Des Moines, the left there last spring (?) for the Boston area, where he's originally from. Couldn't wait to see him go.

CTL:

Nick Cafardo was on.

Kaplan says he's hearing it's down to medicals. Cafardo says he hasn't heard that.

Cafardo says he feels Theo was ready to leave a few years ago, wanted a new challenge.

Cafardo says when Hoyer was in Boston he helped Epstein by negotiating a lot of the contracts.

Kaplan asked him when he thinks the deal will be done, Cafardo says tomorrow, but he didn't sound sure. Boston is afraid of looking bad and wants to get grood compensation. End of conversation

Kaplan and the Chicago panelist talked about how Chicago has all the leverage and sad the Cubs shouldn't part with anyone they don't want to.

Kaplan was great saying the Cubs would let Theo sit in Boston for a year and have Henry pay him $7mil and loose no-body

I'm such a d head. I forgot he was special assistant. I guess I hope he does more than that, or something
