(Jackie Slater, Rams '76-'95)

I was about to say I knew there was a Ram who played 20 seasons then retired because that was a big deal when I was a kid. But I couldn't remember the name.

Afterwards, he became the Last Action Hero.

So on these 506 maps Indianapolis is in green. So instead of the Chicago game for some reason they think we want to watch the San Francisco Dallas game? How does this [expletive] work?

They think everyone wants to watch the Cowboys.

Indinapolis can't show a FOX game at 1:00 because of the Colts being at home. That's why you see little pockets of green also in Detroit, Nashville, Buffalo and NYC. The Dallas game is the only option for those markets.

Yep. It was absolutely maddening going to school at Ball St, not caring about the Colts and not getting any other 1 pm options because of the protected-territory rule.

Yeah I don't know anything about scheduling so that's what I figured.

Thanks guys. Since I've moved into a new location its time to find the best local watering hole to watch the game.

Not NFL related, but this still seems like the best place for this. I think we've had articles posted about this coach on here before...the guy that doesn't believe in punting.

On defense, Pulaski put all 11 players in the box, leaving every receiver uncovered. The strategy worked, too, as the quarterback misfired under the pressure (and, surely, the unprecedented experience) of facing an 11-man rush.

ROFL...I'd really like to see this.

I'd love to watch this type of football happen in big time college football or the pros. Not for my team but for someone.

Maybe some team that's out of it could try it in like the last quarter of a meaningless last game of the season...lol.

Chuck Klosterman wrote something about quirky football schemes yesterday at Grantland. I love stories about high school coaches doing unconventional things to win.

I'd like to see some perennial loser in college football try to go with a strategy similar to the coach's, like Eastern Michigan or something, why not? What do they have to lose. More games?

Does anyone know if it is possible to get NFL team radio broadcasts on the iPhone? The only thing I've seen is only available on Verizon, and I have AT&T. I don't have Sunday Ticket, and I am assuming the stations are blacked out like they are for MLB and NBA games when you try to listen on a radio app.

Or, if anyone has sunday ticket and wants to let me borrow their direct tv user name and password, that would work too :)

I'm going to be driving out of market during the Bears game on Sunday and need something that will allow me to listen.

That was the best part of Scorecasting. I agree that some MAC or WAC school should try to implement this too, because it's really entertaining.

I really wonder how long it would take a coach to adjust if a small conference team randomly, without warning, started playing that way. I gotta think it would have tremendous success for at least a quarter. Not only is it something the players have never seen before but the coach has never probably thought about stopping a defense like that. I gotta think there is some way to get a quick screen or slant to a receiver. And once you manage to get the ball to the receiver, its likely 6. Eventually there would be a fool proof adjustment and it would stop working.
