Wow! Just got some info from a guy who has solid connections within the Oklahoma athletic department. According to him, it's already a done deal that Texas, OU, OSU and Tech are all going to what will be the PAC-16. However, here's the interesting part: it will only be for football and basketball. All the non-revenue sports will continue to compete in the old Big 12 due to concern over travel budgets.

I'd stop considering him "connected"

what a horse [expletive] pass interference call. that ball wasn't close to catchable.

Lucas is 6-5, if he hadn't been mugged for several seconds I'm not sure he doesn't get his hands on it. Either way they have to call something, PI, defensive holding, it's all the same consequence at that spot on the field.

I'm really surprised Vontaze Burfict hasn't gone to jail yet.

GG icing your own kicker, Mizzou.

He'd missed 3 kicks in his life before today. They were trying to draw ASU offsides it looked like.

Yep. 43 yards is a hell of a lot better than 48. Probably a 15% accuracy swing.

Which is why you let him kick it without all the histrionics. Kid can make a 48 yarder. Really dumb on Pinkel's part.

On the plus side for MU fans, Franklin impressed. Not sure he'll hold up running the ball that much, though.

Mississippi State is probably the most overrated/ranked team in the country right now. Announcers on TV saying how they are tied with Auburn for most wins in a row for an SEC team...well ya, they beat a suckass Ole Miss team, then beat Michigan with their 116 out of 120 ranked defense, then last week beat literally the worst team in D-1 football in Memphis. Auburn is gonna beat them like a dream today and Auburn isn't even that good.

And 3:30 into the game, Auburn has scored twice (don't know how.) Looking good so far.

ETA: Miss St just scored in 1:00 of game time.

Illinois looks really good today.

Yes, I know it's a FCS team, but Illinois isn't typically in the habit of destroying anybody, so it's still fun to see.

Definitely fun to see. Next week vs ASU will be a nice litmus test to see where the Illini are at. It will also be my 1st Illini football game I've attended. Should be fun and I can't wait.

The announcers were saying Illinois has a shot to win their division with the schedule they have this year. I don't know about that, but wow, they may have the easiest schedule they'll ever have this year, with in-division road games against Indiana, Purdue and Penn State (Wisconsin and Ohio State are at home), and they don't have to play Nebraska, MSU or Iowa. The cross-division road game is Minnesota.

If they can beat ASU next week, there's no reason why they can't get 8 wins this year. I don't know about winning the division, but the schedule certainly favors Illinois.
