Randy Bush, interim or not, tempers my celebration

We'd expect nothing less from you. Well done.

I could see them retaining Kenney for business-side stuff, especially given the news that Emanuel is more open to public financing. They could always bring in a baseball-side President and let him hire a GM.

I aim to please.

It's not like the Cubs would ever let an interim guy take over with some season left, then keep him on full-time.

No explanation necessary, sir, please take the afternoon off and take some high class hookers out on a yacht in lake michigan and do with them as you may.

A domestic safari, if you will

Perhaps Randy Bush is just keeping a chair warm? If he has orders not to make any roster changes (except for minor league call-ups come Sept 1st) then he can't really do any damage. Just have a guy there to occupy the seat and conduct a search.

Hopefully well before the FA signing period, though. I want to have someone established by then.

I will temper my celebration all over your face.

I will temper nothing. Spray chart bukkake for Kyle.

I shouldn't have laughed at that but I did.

On the one hand: [expletive] YES!

On the other hand, Hendry presided over a number of the most successful Cubs teams in my life. He brought in Tim Wilken, revitalized the farm system, made some really good trades, took chances, and seemed like a good guy. 2003, 2004, and 2008 were fantastic seasons for a number of reasons, but Jim Hendry was responsible (at least in part) for building those teams. In that regard, I'm a bit sad to see him go.

He'll land on his feet. However, this team needed a change.

This should be a NSBB holiday. And we shall celebrate every anniversary thereafter

With cake.
