Pretty big game for me tonight. I made a bet on opening day about the Cubs record vs Pittsburgh this season and I was dead in the water before this series began. A win tonight puts me in the lead for the first time all season, with one 3 game series remaining.

Extrapolating from the last four days, the Cubs are on pace to win 97 games this season. They're a lock to win the division. 2007 Rockies had nothing.

If the Cubs play .700 ball for the rest of the season (36-15) they will finish 82-80!

 

PS .700 baseball over a full season is 113-49.

Spring training. This guy gives me ridiculous odds every year. I think '09 was the only year I've lost to him.
