What has gotten into these guys ??? They hadn't scored more than 5 runs in any of their last 14 games.

 

Last time the CUBS scored 12 runs in a game.... Sun 19 Sep 2010 in a 13-3 win at Florida

Last time the CUBS hit 3 HRs in a game..... Wed 04 May 2011 in a 5-1 win at Los Angeles

Last time the CUBS made 14 hits in a game.... Tue 24 May 2011 (17 hits) in a 11-1 win over NY Mets at Wrigley

Good start to a brutal stretch. They actually looked somewhat competent this series.

I was just about to say if anyone can blow a 6 run lead in the 9th with 1 out, Grabow was our guy, but he got out of it.

 

Brew Crew seem to be cooling down. Sure, they swept the free falling Cardinals, but in between series losses to The Cubs and Mets. Kind of makes you wish that we hadnt dug ourselves into such a deep hole with injuries and poor play.
