Obviously can't feel too good about this pitching match-up. Hopefully see Soriano at DH. The two Florida wins really boosted my excitement for this series

Interleague matchups that are being played for the first time this year:

Cubs @ Boston

Cincinnati @ Baltimore

St. Louis @ Baltimore

Houston @ Toronto

Tampa Bay @ Milwaukee

Interleague matchups that still havent happened after this year:

Atlanta @ Kansas City

Cubs @ Oakland

White Sox @ Mets

St. Louis @ Angels

Dodgers @ Yankees

Tampa Bay @ Dodgers

Minnesota @ Atlanta

San Diego @ Toronto

Texas @ St. Louis

I can't believe after 15 years all these matchups haven't been played yet. That is some patience for the MLB to hold off on series like Dodgers @ Yankees, and Cubs @ Red Sox, not to mention other World Series rematches Minnesota @ Atlanta and Cincinnati @ Baltimore.

Looking forward to this weekend's series. Wish I was there, for certain.

I kind of can't believe we haven't been to Oakland. I just assumed we had.

I'll enjoy this weekend's series. Will be fun.

In an attempt to "reverse the curse," Bill Buckner is filling in for Bob Brenly tonight

All of that, plus $1.69, will buy you a cup of coffee down at the truckstop, eh?

???????

Aramis Ramirez will be the designated hitter for Friday's series opener against the Red Sox.

Cubs manager Mike Quade was debating using Soriano out of the DH spot, but he's starting in left field in front of the Green Monster. Jeff Baker will make the start at third base.

I'm surprised Quade left Pena so high up in the order against a lefty.

I'm all about a Cubs sweep bringing back a little of that first week panic for Boston. :pig:

Anyone else think Castro hurt himself on that play? He looked funny when he got to first and running off the field.

and holy isht, Buckner is so bad I gotta change to the Boston channel
