Looks like the heavy bit of rain that was headed for Wrigley is drying up before it gets there

It sure looked like the end of the world when it came through the Quad Cities about 3 hours ago !!

Come on, Baker. Blow this thing open.

Just saw the graphic on Byrd.

.300+ batting average with a .333 OBP and one homerun. Is it possible to have an emptier batting average?

Juan Pierre and Theriot say hi.

When Johnson caught that deep fly by Fontenot, he thought "Whatever, I can do that too... Only mine will drop". He then proceeded to do exactly that.

:D

Even Sweet Lou in all his senility wouldn't have hit Theriot in the middle of the order, though.

I'm recording the game so you can see for yourself later. 8-)

Perfect opportunity to rest your bullpen horses in a non-save situation, unfortunately there's been no need to use those guys much this year anyway.

24 of our games have been decided by 3 runs or fewer.

And? Marshall and Marmol haven't been used much recently. Marshall is on pace for 72 appearances and 68 innings, down from most years. I'd actually like to see them rest Marmol since he pitched yesterday and if they do get into a save situation tomorrow he wouldn't be in his third straight game.
