What did Len say about Cashner and Wells? Just as he started talking about them, my DVR switched me to another channel because I had too many programs scheduled to record.
both threw off the mound, and looks like one or both could be ready soon ( i dont remember exactly when, but a week to 10 days is sticking in my head?)

ETA: kinda vague, sorry

I don't know what Len said, but I thought I heard/read somewhere recently that Wells is slightly ahead of Cashner in the rehab progress.

that may have been part of it too, but i'm too lazy to try to go back on my dvr to find it, sounded like cashner was coming along as hoped though

The Kershaw AB was hilarious. Between Kershaw reaching on a k because he knocked the wild pitch away with his bat as he dropped it to Baldy McBaby'sAss potty mouth I was rolling.

I'm not so sure he was out at home, but I'll take it.

He was safe,, but there's 2 things we do know......James Russell [expletive] sucks and shouldn't be starting and our defense is junk

DAMMIT! I wanted to see Russell actually make it through 5 innings. That would have been fun.

The Cubs are in really big trouble if they can't find any other person in their 40 man roster to give them at least 5 IP and give up less than 5 runs. Is Thomas Diamond that bad?

Quade is such an idiot. I can't believe it only took a month for me to despise him.

Edit: I partially take that back. I didn't realize Diamond is the AAA version of Russell right now.

Once again, Russell gives us the old 4+IP, 4-5 R performance. How much longer will this go on?

If the Cubs go on to lose tonight, I believe this makes us 1-7 with Coleman and Russell starting....11-9 with anyone else on the hill.

That is really pretty hard to do with the consistency that Russell has been doing it. You would have to think that even the worst major league pitchers would occasionally sprinkle in a 2 or 3 run outing.

Having the worst pitcher on our roster start every five days might not be a good idea.

SP in the minors who are on the 40 man roster:

-Alberto Cabrera - AA 4.71 ERA

-Robert Coello - AAA 9.00 ERA

-Thomas Diamond - AAA 8.86 ERA

-Rafael Dolis - AA 2.41 ERA

Yes those are some bad ERAs, but so are Russell's. Is it that crazy to say "maybe Russell isn't the answer, lets see if someone else can do better"?

Not on the 40 man but whatever, at this point find a way to put him on it.

All Quade knows is madness. Look at him.

This makes me miss Shawn Estes (not really)

Remember that one time in 2003 in Cincy when he had that really good start down the stretch? Yeah that was cool, good times.
