Everyone needs a game off here and there. The guys 21 years old, and I dont believe hes had a game off so far this season.

yeah so let's just pull him from a game when he made an out and three errors. that should do wonders for his confidence, embarrassing him in front of the home crowd.

Maybe Quade can run out on the field and chew him out right there. Then that lazy SOB Castro might put a little effort into his defense.

Laugh if you will, but unless Castro has a big rest of the game with the bat, Id be willing to bet that he is not in tomorrows lineup. No he wont be sent down to Iowa or traded for Ryan Theriot or whatever, but he'll be on the bench, and back on the field Wednesday.

What good is it going to do? I'm pretty sure Starlin realizes are errors are bad and that he should try to commit as few as possible. Now if they want to give him a day off because he needs the rest, fine. But sitting him for a game because he made some errors...I just don't the point. His bat is far too valuable to our lineup to sit him out a game for his defense.

I read a stat the other day that the Cubs have set the ML record for the most stops at the .500 mark though the first 20 games of the season. So, yay on our historic mediocrity, I guess. It could be worse, I suppose. At least we didn't start off like we did in 1997.
Not just a record, but one that can never be broken (although it could conceivably be tied). They've literally been at every possible .500 record through 20 games. No longer than a two game winning streak and two game losing streak, no better than 1 over .500, no worse than 1 under.

For weeks I have been trying to figure out who Darwin Barney reminds me of and it finally hit me...

Rob Schneider

Darwin... The Darwinator.

its the part Asian in them

Rob Schneider is part Asian?

I guess that makes some of his roles slightly less minstrel show-y. Slightly.

When did Fukudome morph into Ichiro with walks?

20 hits

19 singles

10 walks

5 Ks

The sad thing is I've heard a few different radio hosts/callers complain that his numbers are "soft."

And of course, that he's "only good in April" and that he's "way/vastly/significantly/etc. overpaid."

Apparently so. I honestly had no idea that Barney was Asian either.

What on earth does that even mean? Are they imaginary hits, or something?

Schneider is part Filipino and Barney is part Japanese I believe.
