You bench him because he just doesn't care enough.

Obviously.

He wasn't hustling like Barney would have.

I believe the proper term for Barney is crafty?

Does Barney qualify for the hustle/grit descriptors? From the eyeball test, he looks like he might be one of those lazy types.

Fiery, fiery. Not classy, not gritty.

Everyone needs a game off here and there. The guys 21 years old, and I dont believe hes had a game off so far this season.

yeah so let's just pull him from a game when he made an out and three errors. that should do wonders for his confidence, embarrassing him in front of the home crowd.

Maybe Quade can run out on the field and chew him out right there. Then that lazy SOB Castro might put a little effort into his defense.

BENCH CASTRO AND MAKE RAMIREZ PRACTICE HIS BUNTING! RAWR!

send down castro to learn fundamentals; call up whatever 35 year old at iowa has been hot for a week.

Can he bring Thomas Diamond with him so we don't have to keep starting Russell?

Laugh if you will, but unless Castro has a big rest of the game with the bat, Id be willing to bet that he is not in tomorrows lineup. No he wont be sent down to Iowa or traded for Ryan Theriot or whatever, but he'll be on the bench, and back on the field Wednesday.

When did Garza become a strikeout/groundout type of pitcher? I'm really excited seeing what he's doing but I have no idea who he is out there. I expect his HR rate to somewhat normalize as the weather warms up but the K's and GB/FB rate I have no idea about.
