2/6 games he looked to have bad games. So far Drose is 3/4.

There's a difference between the first round and the conference finals.

There's a difference between playing the No. 8 seed and the No. 2 seed.

There's a difference between doing it against one of the worst defensive teams in the league and one of the best.

Does not feeling as disappointed as feel like I should be mean that the Bulls satisfied my expectations this year?

I feel like I'd be less upset if we were losing to any team but the [expletive] Heat. This team has far exceeded expectations this year, so losing in the conference finals isn't the worst thing in the world. But losing to the Heat, and watching these scumbags celebrate is just awful to me. Why couldn't we just lose to a more likable team?

Like who? Bulls fans have bitched nonstop about all 3 teams the Bulls faced in the playoffs. Would it have been better if they lose to the Celtics or Magic instead?

Nope. You always end up hating the team you're playing, imo. I don't remember the Bulls ever playing "likeable" teams in the Jordan years. Indy, NY, Pistons, Lakers, Blazers, Sonics, Jazz....man I hated every one of those teams at the time. Oddly enough I'm really fond of some of the players on those teams now, in retrospect. But I reviled them back then.

Great point. That's the fun of the playoffs though. You are desperate, they are desperate, and they are pulling out all the stops to ensure your season ends, and you are pulling out all the stops to ensure their season ends.

As far as hating that we are falling to the Heat. Yeah it sucks. I hate the Heat too. It hurts to know they are probably going to win a title and we could have stopped them. But after watching the first 4 games of this series, do you think we were really coming into the series equipped to stop them? I'd be a lot more heart broken if we outplayed them every game and still lost because of some fluke occurances happening or something. But that didn't happen. We just plain were beaten down the stretch of 3 straight games. We can play with the Heat for 43 minutes but not 48.

So just let the pain linger and hope we can respond last year. I simply don't buy everyone the saying that this is the one year the Heat could get beaten.

I thought the Nets were pretty likable when we were playing them :)

I kind of feel like I did the year the Blackhawks lost to Detroit in the WCF a couple years ago.

The fact that the Bulls blew them out in game 1 though makes it a bit tougher to swallow.

I would have been OK with it if it wasn't a loss to the Heat. If, say, we lost to the Magic or Celtics in the ECF, I would have been a lot better off. My hatred of all that the 2 and a half men stand for is really clouding my judgement and enhancing my anger over this whole thing. The fact that the Heat are going to continue to be this good for a while plays a part in it as well.

I have to imagine you'd prefer losing to the Heat over the Celtics.

I disagree. The Heat are the new Yankees. I'll always root against them now.

The Heat played well defensively however, when the Bulls don't have a legitimate SG and the Heat can basically ignore Korver, Bogans and Brewer its really not that hard to look good on defense. Give the Bulls a Jamal Crawford or OJ Mayo at the SG and I don't think the Heat are so "great" defensively. In fact, with a SG the Heat have to pay attention to I think the Bulls win 6 possibly 5. I can take the Bulls losing but, when your losing to arrogant mother-f***king d**ks like Wade and James its tougher to accept. Edited by gflore34

Nor do I, if the Bulls can a legitimate SG to pair with Rose they'll beat the Heat.

Cant remember. Did he look THIS bad?

2/6 games he looked to have bad games. So far Drose is 3/4.

So that's the threshold for "psyche-damaging?"

Not sure what you're getting at, but Rose has immense pressure in his hometown and this will be a long offseason for the young guy.

And yes, the Bulls can be players for Howard if they choose to be. You'd have to part with Noah and either Gibson or Asik plus draft picks.

Rose has shown great mental toughness before but somehow losing to a favored team in the ECF will traumatize him?

And the Bulls would have to part with Boozer and/or Deng also to get Howard. Good luck getting rid of those contracts.

Done. Noah, Gibson, Asik, 2 firsts this year, and the Bobcats pick. Add in Watson/Brewer/Korver if needed to match salary.

Rose, 2 guard, Deng, Boozer, Dwight. Championship.
