I don't get how the single player who makes the Bulls contenders being in a walking boot is no big deal.

It's not whether he can play or not. It's the fact that anything less than 100% Rose means, in all likelihood, a Bulls exit from the playoffs short of the finals.

It's really everything, and everyone knows that. So how is it not a big deal?

You really think the Bulls are going to lose 3-straight to the Pacers? Rose could play the next three games with the boot on and they wouldn't lose 3 in a row. By round 2, he'll be fine.

No, I don't think they'll lose 3 in a row to the Pacers, but any possibility of him having to fight through pain or lingering tenderness -- anything -- is a concern.

counting the summer fiba trip, he's played over 100 games in less than a year. He's tired and sore every day of his life. You're wasting time even thinking about this.

I mean sure it's something to keep an eye on but you've been acting like a sprain and a walking boot is the end of the world which is kinda ridiculous.

Despite what Sponge Worthy says, I think it would be nice if the Bulls win Game 5 and Orlando/Atlanta goes a while so Rose could get some extra rest.

Until Rose hurt his ankle the Bulls had a decided advantage in terms of being rested and healthy relative to the rest of the contenders. That was the silver lining of Booz and Noah missing so much time. Plus SA, Boston, and LA are just old as [expletive]. Miami's older too.

You knew Rose sprained his ankle, so it shouldnt be any kind of surprise that he was in a walking boot today. That's what I mean by not a big deal. As I said, its common practice for teams to do that with ankle injuries.

It's not like he could shoot any worse.

The Orlando Magic say otherwise.

I just hope it's not something that lingers.

Maybe I shouldn't have shot back that it's a "big deal."

I just don't want to have to think about Rose and injuries, and whether that's the reason he didn't have a good game, or whatever.

HE'S OUT OF THE BOOT! HE'S OUT OF THE BOOT!

per KC Johnson on twitter.

I would make sweet, passionate love to that boot for helping heal DRose.

And into a full-body cast.

Probably still better than Rondo.

Well, if he were Pierce or Rondo, he would be out of the full-body cast in 5 minutes and miraculously healed.

And until he gains that killer instinct, the Bulls will continue to struggle.

The killer awoke before dawn, he put his boots on

He took a face from the ancient gallery

And he walked on down the hall

He went into the room where his sister lived, and...then he

Paid a visit to his brother, and then he

He walked on down the hall, and

And he came to a door...and he looked inside

Father, yes son, I want to paul pierce your face

Mother...I want to...paul pierce your vagina

derrick rose is going to either kill you or [expletive] you so you'd better get your pants off.

FYI Nick Fridell said that Rose was limping fairly badly when he saw him at the Berto Center today. Just one man's view of what he saw, but I think its pretty clear that Rose isn't going to be in top form tomorrow night.

I think we'll see a different game plan in game 5 and expect to place less emphasis on "let Rose do it all" play.

I'm starting to think that despite the injury the Bulls will play their best game of the series tomorrow. Hope I'm right.

please pound the pacers and have the orlando/atlanta series go 7, thanks god

I'd rather face ATL after 5 than ORL after 7.

For once we agree. Exhausted opponents are great, but dealing with a Horford/Pachulia front line as opposed to Dwight Howard (not that Horford is garbage or anything) sounds good to me.
