If Purdue's going to beat a ranked opponent tonight is one of the better opportunities. I would say this game is as close to a must win as a team can have with 11 games left on their regular season schedule. If they don't steal a couple of these games they're going to end up in the NIT.

Purdue's just not very good this year. It really sucks that Hummel isn't going to get to go to the tournament his senior year. I honestly see 3 wins left on the schedule, maybe 4 if they steal one. I don't think that's enough.

Royce White might be the worst free throw shooter ever. He air balled two tonight and one of them only went 2 feet.

It's quite a sight. He's perfected the near miss. It's not like he's throwing up airballs they just bounce off the rim or the backboard.

 

The funny (sad) thing is that his bread and butter is getting to the rim and drawing fouls. People say he's regressed from last year, and he has, but it's not like he was a good free throw shooter last year either. He shot 55% from the line.

 

He was a four-star rated #51 overall in 2010 by Rivals. Granted he's only a Sophomore so he's got time to turn it around.

i wouldn't really call that one an airball. as he was bringing it up, it just kinda fell/flew out of his hands. granted, there is a decent chance he would have airballed it had he got it off...
