it's not that we aren't hustling, it's that they're getting every single bounce.

I don't even care, the talent level difference is great again in this game. Yet again we are content playing at a pace they dictate. I dare anyone to name a worse coach in America right now than Bruce Weber.

I'm going with Travis Ford.

Yep losing at home to a terrible Wisconsin team.

Hahahah, oh boy. When the boats sinking, make fun of the iceberg. Great strategy.

I'm not trying to make fun of you, you're having a down year. You will rebound and be better. I'd kill to have the kind of success you've had recently.

No way, does Travis have 9 top 150 kids on his roster? Well 8 now, since we ran Crandall off.

It's Wisconsin's worst team in quite some time, right? If Illinois wanted to be more than a [expletive] bubble team, they had to win today.

"Worst" is relative. Yes, this is a down year, but they're 16-5, with 4 of those losses being top 20 teams. They'll still end up around 22-9 and make the tourney for the 14th straight year.

Agreed, if Illinois was actually an improving program, they should have won today, especially with Wisc missing their FTs. Instead they continue to slide to middle of the pack since dee/deron/etc.

i think that you think that you're zinging illini fans when you probably haven't read the last few pages of the thread at all.

bruce's offense can only be described as an abortion. we have all of these talented players, bertrand, paul, leonard, richardson, and we have terrible spacing, people are often running into each other while the passes simply go around the perimeter, no flashing in the lane, no effective cutting. all i see are guys trying to come off of screens out at the 3-point line. it's pathetic and so easy to game plan for.

nobody does anything.

I wasn't zinging and wasn't trying to start anything. I had read the previous pages and was agreeing.

Badgers lost 3 in a row earlier this year, including to an unranked team at home. I have no room to talk. We'll be out in the first round of March if we go cold from the outside due to a lack of inside presence and not being able to create shots.

The difference being your coach will go out and recruit some kids who fit into his scheme. Our coach is a [expletive], one that would be long gone if not for Deron Williams and hriring Jerrance Howard.

It looked good with three NBA caliber guards, all of which were shooters. So of course since then we've recruited two shooters and a ton of slashers. And of course one of the shooters was a severe alcoholic that almost killed a teammate before being run off.

i don't want weber to recruit kids that fit his scheme, because those are mid-major type players.

i just want him out of my face at this point.

Oh I agree. I want him back at a mid major.

In his last 3 classes he's signed 8 top 150 kids. I'm not sure if they're all there though because he's had some attrition. And they're 9-10.

Looks like all 4 guys from the '09 class are gone, so there's 4 currently on the roster.

Yeah take away BP3, Myers, and Joe Bertrand. That gives Bruce 5 still to work with. He maybe has 3 wins at this point. He's jokingly bad.

So do I. Get rid of him at Illinois and have him come back to SIU. Win-win all the way around.

Yep, hell he would be happier as well. Makes too much sense not to happen.

When will we ever force the ball out of the other teams best players hands? Just content to let them beat us. Thank god this nightmare is almost over.

i hope you're right.

It is, unless there's pretty much an immediate change in on-court performance he's gone.

He (reportedly) told Frank Haith after the Texas game that Barnes isn't an offensive coach. The way I read it, Haith was trying to give credit for his coaching acumen to coming up with Barnes, and Knight was saying he didn't learn anything about offense from him.

Hey the fan of the team who lost to [expletive] Iowa at home is here to swing his dick around.

Hey, the B1G is a tough conference. Any team can win any day. It's not like we lost to a Horizon league bottom feeder like UIC or anything.

(apologies to all other Illinois fans)

Whelp, the Iowa reference didn't add too much to the conversation, did it?

I came on here to point out that we aren't a "horrible" team, and then agreed with the comments about Illinois' program. I have no clue where you have me bragging. Sounds like spite for the sake of spite.
