It's nice to finally have a point guard with some balls. Loving Maniscalo thus far this year.

Not much in the way of size or athleticism, but he's a bulldog. Plus he seems like he's pretty smart and composed. He's like the offensively oriented version of Chester Frazier.

he's much more efficient offensively than chet, though. he's very solid, though not really a distributer.

edit, sorry, just saw that last part, i missed it on my initial read through.

Iowa sucks.

It's kind of sad. I used to love to hate Iowa hoops, but now they're just kind of pathetic. When I was growing up they were usually good, and it was more fun that way.

My big three teams have always been Iowa basketball and football and Cubs baseball. I think what has happened to the Iowa basketball program has taken a small part of my soul from me.

I used to live to see Iowa lose. Illinois-Iowa games were right up there with Cubs-Cards. Now, seeing Carver-Hawkeye half empty during the ACC/B1G challenge and the Hawks getting destroyed by a mediocre team, it makes me feel a little melancholy.

Yeah, [expletive] Iowa.

so it's a race for 2nd place in the B1G this year, eh?

tOSU crushing Duke

Yeah, seems that way. They're really good.

Though I'm not sure if I'm more impressed by OSU or underwhelmed by Duke.

rivers is the only dukie i really like, but OSU looked terrifyingly athletic and good.

When (if) Iowa starts winning games again, the hate is gonna ratchet back up to blinding intensity, I'm sure. It's just more fun to kick them in the nuts when they think they're good.

[expletive]. I went to the Blackhawks game tonight thinking I could watch the Purdue replay back at the hotel. Nope, the espn app only allows you to watch replays of espn3 events. At least they won!

Oh and sorry again Big Ten.

I haven't seen an Iowa game yet this year. Has Basabe developed?

He has been no where near what he was last year.

Developed into a walk-on.

He's been horrible, truly horrible. He doesn't rebound anymore, doesn't get any garbage points, doesn't play defense, can't score and won't pass. He, Cartwright and May have been awful and are why Iowa is as bad as they are right now.

Yikes. He was one of my favorite non-Purdue guys to watch last year. He's obviously got the tools.

The last 4 games he has 8 total points on 4-16 shooting with 11 boards in 67 minutes.
