Does anyone here follow Bradley basketball or has anyone watched Bradley over the last few years? Their coach got fired a couple months ago and was just hired at UCD.

Everyone who follows the MVC seemed to hate him and think he's an ass. And he talked an Iowa player into transferring to Bradley during the season like 10 years ago.

He's a douche, no doubt. Pretty decent recruiter but a horrible in-game coach. He definitely fits the "used car salesman" description.

HOLY [expletive]

Wrong thread? Came at the same time as the Andrew Bynum cheap shot.

You are correct

Haha. I was so confused - I didn't see anything above that matched your reaction.

That sounds exactly like the guy UCD fired, except Les has actually had some success at the DI level.

According to ESPN Turgeon is expected to receive an offer from Maryland today. ESPN's source said that he hasn't accepted the offer but is leaning in that direction.

Well [expletive] beans. Turgeon took the job. Supposedly he's getting $2.5MM. Good luck, coach. I hope we can hang on to our recruits.

Apparently Adam Woodbury (2012 7' from Iowa) schooled Perea the IU commit at the Spiece tournament this weekend. The Iowa team featuring he and Mike Gesell, another top 100 guy won the tournament and beat the Indiana squad.

The good news is Iowa is supposed to be the leader for both of them and they're playing really well. The bad news is Iowa hasn't had any luck with the in-state guys who blow up.

Considering that Perea is 6'8 I'm guessing a 7 footer should be able to score on him. :P

As I suspected, Buzz Williams is our #1 target. But would he leave Marquette for A&M? You wouldn't think so, unless he really wants to get back to Texas.

It's starting to sound like Buzz is actually a possibility. :beg:

Where are you getting this from? It's certainly possible since he worked at A&M before. But most things I've read have said that it's relatively unlikely, even still. Got this from Luke Winn's twitter:

lukewinn (Take 2) To get Buzz, A&M would have to pay mid-$2MM buyout, plus beat his 7yr, $2MM+ per rollover deal. Can't see it happening.

Again, he could leave. It wouldn't be unprecedented that a coach bolts six weeks after a contract extension, but it's also not terribly common either. That being said, it wouldn't shock me if Buzz was a candidate further down the line (should the position be open again in 3-5 years). That seems more likely to me.

This is from a Houston sports writer earlier today.

@richardjustice "Rumor has it Buzz has exemptions in his buyout for certain TX schools, A&M included."
