There are 4 Cubs who have taken at-bats this year who have not struck out yet. Anybody without looking have guesses for who they are?

There are also 4 Cubs who have 3 walks or more already. Any guesses for who they are?

Walks: Ramirez, Pena, Fukudome, Colvin?

K's: Soto, Hill...Ramirez?

EDIT: Oh, and Russell hasn't struck out this year, since his only AB was today.

The Cubs as a team are currently tied for the lead in the NL (2nd in ML)in walks with 19. (Tied with the Cardinals, 3 behind KC)

Pitching wise, they lead the majors with 47 K's.

Sam Fuld is OPSing 1.127 and has 4 steals as of the 3rd inning of today's game vs. the White Sox. Let the haunting begin...

The Red Sox are on pace to go 0-162.

Per Ken Tremendous on Twitter: Red Sox must play .608 baseball for the entire rest of the year to win 95 games. It is April 7th.

Pena's probably going to hear he's having a poor start when people start paying attention to statistics in a few days but he really is just the biggest one being affected by the pitching matchups. After tonight, the Cubs will have faced 4 right-handers and 4 left-handers, but because of Pena's injury he will have faced all 4 left-handers and had only 2 starts against right-handed pitching. So far he is 3 for 7 against the right-handers and 0 for 7 against the left-handers going into the game tonight.

Coming into today, Geo had a .185 BABIP despite a 25% LD%.

Didn't he have terrible luck in 09' with BABIP, while still carrying a relatively high LD%?

Garza's FIP is still 1.21 and his xFIP is 1.95. Thanks to those numbers, Fangraphs already calculates his worth to the team at 1.0 WAR so far (which obviously isn't the case, but the system isn't really designed to look at extreme cases like Garza's numbers have been so far).

His LD/GB/FB ratio is still all out of whack as well.

2009: 17.8 LD/39.7 GB/42.5 FB

2010: 19.5 LD/35.8 GB/44.7 FB

2011: 34.5 LD/43.6 GB/21.8 FB

Already, I think I can say though that he will likely not outperform his FIP by a wide margin for the 5th straight year.

Tracking Garza, his FIP is now 1.25 and an xFIP of 1.93. His K rate is 12.04 (previous 3 seasons 6.24, 8.38, 6.60). His walk rate is 2.64 (previous 3 seasons 2.88, 3.50, 2.77). He hasn't allowed a home run yet in his first 30+ innings despite being a relatively high HR guy in the past (0.93, 1.11, 1.23 last 3 years). His GB/FB percentage is up to 2.33 (previous 3 years 1.04, .93, .80). His LD percentage allowed is falling fast and is now down to 27.7% with a BABIP of .414.

I think it's becoming increasingly clear that this is not only a strange start but some sort of adjustment by Garza. That is especially true in the ground ball department-I'd be shocked if he ended up having more fly balls than ground balls at the end of the season. If he can keep that K rate around 9 or 10 while getting a lot of ground balls he could have a great season.

BTW, fangraphs already has him as having a 1.6 WAR season through less than a month! He only had a 1.8 WAR all of last year.

Soriano has 24 hits this year... 10 of them are home runs.
