I know 3 games would be a pretty small sample size to demote your #3 hitter already, but it's not like Byrd has always been a #3 hitter and by demoting him to the bottom of the line up would be a bit hit to his psyche.

 

Just do it, already.

That and the fact that he never should been hitting 3rd to begin with.

@PWSullivan: Today figures to be the lowest attendance at Wrigley Field since at least 2006. Last year's low was 29,538 on Aug. 30 vs. Bucs.
