If the Cubs are playing well, and they have a chance then you want Zambrano on your team. If they fall back early you want to distance yourself as far as possible from him. I love to watch him play baseball because he is entertaining, but would I build a team around him? Not a chance! I would much rather have Aramis Ramirez as a cornerstone. The first five years he was great for the Cubs, and the last two he battled injuries and still put up 25 HR's last year. Even with his down years I would bet not to many other 3rd baseman over the last 7 have put up better numbers then him.

Aram is a little too old to be considered a cornerstone to build around. Still a very good player and has been for the Cubs, but it's too late in his career to be thinking that he's the guy to ride to a World Series in a few years.

Someone's alt is trying a little too hard, imo. It's still phenomenal trolling, just not as funny.

First of all, I don't have the time to make multiple accounts in an effort to amuse you like some sort of birthday clown. Second of all, I will no longer encourage your efforts in shifting this topic from Big Z to your 5 seconds of internet stardom on my behalf. And that's all I have to say about that.

"Amuse you like a birthday clown."

Well, I found a new phrase to use on a regular basis.

I've already told my students that twice this morning.

For example, "I do not have time to amuse you like a birthday clown; you need to sit down and start the assignment."

My god is that expression going to get worked a bunch today.

Fair weather fans??

Being a Cubs fan is like living in Seattle. You don't do it if you're only in it for the fair weather.

Persistence is key though, keep it up. Like I said, it's still phenomenal work.

To follow your shift back to Big Z, I'm on your side of the line. I have high hopes for him this season, and I appreciated the way he didn't kick up a stink about being moved to second in the rotation.

I fully expected "WINNING" to be at the end of this.

Instead of doing the Fontenot hammer routine, I hope Big Z just punches Silva in the mouth before each start. That should get him fired up.
